Eureka! Zientzia Museoa premieres its new production for the planetarium: "Roke and the volcanoes of the Solar System". This programme is aimed at children aged 4 to 11.

Summary of the projection

Roke is a small rocket that falls into the Eureka! museum after its first launch. After being repaired, he decides to stay at the museum working in the planetarium. He then prepares his first space mission, which will be to study whether there are volcanoes in other parts of the solar system. To find out, he will go on a journey to different planets and satellites and, with his camera, he will take different photographs to find out. What will Roke find on his first space adventure?

Duration: 25 minutes
Audience: children
Languages: Basque, Spanish, French and English.

Creation of Roke

The character Roke was created 14 years ago for the "planetarium txiki" that we had at the time.

The "planetarium txiki" was a small bubble-type planetarium and consisted of a star projector and a hand-held slide projector.

Roke's appearance has changed since then. We have turned Roke into a blue-white and we have designed it in 3 dimensions to see it better in the big planetarium.

Production of "Roque and Volcanoes of the Solar System".

This story of Roque was born two years ago. At first, we thought of making this production using the Eureka! Zientzia Museoa planetarium tool by doing the graphic development of the story ourselves.

Then we thought it would be worth entrusting this project to a graphic design company and finally we entrusted the production of Roke to the company "Gosho".

This June 1 Eureka! Zientzia Museoa has reopened its doors in its usual schedule (from 10:00-19:00 from Monday to Friday and weekends and holidays from 11:00-20:00 with the inauguration of the renovated room Chispas de Energía. Considered one of the most demanding spaces of the entire museum, and after almost twenty years at full performance, the Chispas de Energía room returns with seventeen fully updated modules. New designs and ways of understanding the secrets of electricity are exposed, maintaining the museum's identity, having fun with science.

Each module is linked to an informative totem in which the user can learn first-hand about the physical principle and use of these interactive experiments.

These are some of the modules you will find:
